October is LGBTQ+ History Month: Brazos Valley
In the early years of the new millenia (2000).The local Brazos Valley community annually celebrated artistic expression of the LGBTQ+
community in an event we called
“Evening of the Arts”
Originally conceived and implemented by Christine Bergeron the event continued at least through 2008 and often involved a committee made up of Chris’ dance student, the precursor to the TAMU LGBTQ+ Pride Center (either GIES or Women’s and Gender Equity Resource Center), and community members.
