It is with sad heart that today Pride Community Center honors one of our elders and heroes locally who died this past week.

This past week our local community lost a true powerhouse in transgender advocacy. Founding editor of the GLAAD award winning Transgriot blog, Monica brought often needed attention to transgender homicide, the mistreatment of our community by transgender exclusionary radical feminists, and so much more.
A Houston resident, Monica was our elder, our shero, and often sought out for public speaking engagements and to speak truth to power.
Rest in power now sister.
