2023 Legislative Listening Sessions

Texas has legislative terms on odd numbered years in the state. 2023 is one such year and there are a lot of anti-lgbtq+ bills that have been proposed for law in Texas. We at Pride Community Center, Inc know the impact that this has on our Texan youth as well as Texas families overall.

As such we have planned a series of 2023 Legislative Listening Sessions wherein we will present information about the good and bad bills put forth that impact the queer community. We will also talk about the process in which a bill becomes a law. Ultimately, we will give you tools to contact your elected officials and utilize your voice about this kind of policymaking in the state.

We also want to touch in with you and make sure you and your family are ok. We want to give you the opportunity to talk frankly about the bills before the legislature with us and work through some of your feelings regarding policy that is being proposed.
